About Us

SAMAJIK VIKAS KENDRA

Samajik Vikas Kendra

Welcome to Samajik Vikas Kendra : Nourishing Lives with Food, Care, and Happiness.
We are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of those in need and creating a better world for everyone. At Samajik Vikas Kendra – Anandashray, we have been selflessly working for the upliftment and overall development of slum, street, and begging children for the past twenty-five years.
Our mission is to promote social development, provide care, and develop sustainable solutions to address various challenges faced by our communities. Through a series of educational, recreational, and training programs, we strive to empower and support these vulnerable children. Our work is rooted in the belief that every child deserves access to education, a safe environment, and opportunities for a brighter future.

One of our key initiatives is operating two orphanages in Mumbai, Dreamz Home Center for Girls in Malad East and Dreamz Home Center for Boys near Malwani Police Station in Malad West. These orphanages provide a nurturing home for orphaned children, offering them education, healthcare, emotional support, and opportunities for personal growth. We believe in providing a loving and secure environment where these children can thrive and overcome their circumstances.
In addition to our orphanages, we run three old age homes where we provide a loving and secure environment for abandoned and homeless senior citizens. Our dedicated staff ensures that they receive the care, attention, and companionship they deserve in their golden years. We are committed to upholding their dignity and ensuring they live their lives with respect and comfort.

At SVK , we also understand the importance of environmental conservation. We actively participate in initiatives like tree plantation drives and support other NGOs that work towards animal welfare. Currently, we care for 32 dogs, 3 cows, 5 cats, and 10 rabbits across our five centers. By nurturing and protecting the environment and its inhabitants, we strive to create a sustainable and compassionate society.

None of this would be possible without the support and generosity of our donors. Contributions, whether through donations, volunteering, or adopting trees, had made a lasting impact and helped us continue our work in creating a more inclusive and sustainable society. We invite you to join us on this journey of social development and transformation. Together, we can make a meaningful difference and create a brighter future for all.

Founded in 1997 by Mr. Vijay Karande, SVK works closely with police stations across Mumbai to rescue, rehabilitate, and support destitute children, abandoned or lost senior citizens, and homeless animals. We collaborate with certified psychiatrists, child welfare officers, social workers, vegetarians, career counselors, and a dedicated team of 22 full-time staff members to ensure comprehensive care and support for those in need.

Thank you for visiting our website and considering supporting our cause. Together, we can bring about positive change and provide hope and opportunities to those who need them the most.

Our mission is to help and care for the elderly, children, and animals by giving them constant support, nourishment, and a loving environment. We want to make sure they are happy, safe, and treated with respect. Through kindness, education, and speaking up for their rights, we work towards creating a society that is fair, inclusive, and values the lives of every living being.
Creating a society where individuals of all ages and species are cherished, cared for, and experience a life filled with nourishment, compassion, and happiness.

Our objectives are to provide comprehensive care and support to marginalized populations, promote social welfare and development, advocate for equal opportunities and rights, and foster environmental sustainability for a better future.
